Taking Flight!

One of the kids favorite rewards has become camping out in the living room on the weekends. It's a privilege that is reserved for weekends but has become a family tradition. There are three pieces of furniture suitable for sleeping in the living room (including Elias' preference for an armchair and footstool combination) so now that Ahn-Bao has started joining in this alternative sleeping arrangement, we have a designated portable mattress which is moved to the living room on the weekends.

The mattress is a serious, attractive nuisance and Mom has almost given up saying, "stop jumping on the mattress." Dad caught these photos of Ahn-Bao in flight, jumping from the coffee table to the mattress. Those of you that have known us for a long time may remember that Bob tested this actual coffee table when we bought it 20+ years ago for its "jump-off-ability" and it has stood the test . . . so far!
