Yasmin and her friend John prepared and presented a TaeKwonDo demonstration in the Third Grade Talent Show today. Yasmin had the idea and knew that one of her classmates was also studying TaeKwonDo and she invited him to do it with her, they practiced three times over the past couple of weeks and were part of the show today. They joined pianists, a violinist, a guitarist, a gymnast, and two hula-hoopers! Was great fun to see Yasmin stretch and put herself in front of her peers in this way.
It is more than a little sad to think that in one week, when school is out, she will become a 4th Grader and at 9-years old, we are halfway to her leaving home and becoming independent (I guess we can only hope that it works that way!)
